In Maharashtra, specially in Pune district , COVID 19 Second wave was affecting people at mass level and in First Week of April 2021, active patients reached almost 50,000 only in Pune District and that too 13000 were in Baramati Taluka.
After seeing appeal by Mr. Kiran Dada Gujar on social media to Doctor's outside Baramati City to give suggestions in this pandemic, Dr. Pandurang Kadam decided to set up an 80 beded hospital exclusively for COVID patients.
Under the guidance of Mr. Kiran Dada Gujar, location was finalised at Ashoknagar, Baramati, in the premises of Baramati Shikshak Co - Operative Society Buildings. With Support of the local team and Society committee within a span of 15 days, the entire new set up of 85 beds which includes 27 Oxygen Beds, 7 Bipaps and 2 ventilators with a team of 35 Doctors and Nursing Staff, was completed and functioning well to serve Baramati and it's surrounding people.
Along with ICMR guidelines and COVID protocall by the Health Ministry, Dr. Kadam implemented Arogya Nirbhar immunity sequence as Medical Nutrition Therapy to recover covid positive patients speedily without complications.
Within a span of 15 days, almost more than 50 patients got discharged and recovered completely in the Aarogya Nirbhar Covid Hospital, Baramati.
